Sharp Announces 3D Camera Module

Sharp said Wednesday that it is developing a 3D camera module for mobile devices that it will begin sampling in July.

The module appears to be designed for video as well as still images; Sharp said video up to 720p resolution can be captured. The module will be used for smartphones and digital cameras, the company said. Full story

There are  reports in Korea that LG and Microsoft have tying up a deal to bundle LG TVs with an updated Xbox 360.

LG launched a new LCD 3D HDTV

LG has today launched a new Full 3D HDTV that is able to play 3D movies.

“Leading the way to the ultimate home entertainment experience, the 55- and 47-inch class LE9500 sets will be LG’s first 3D-ready models available in the United States.”

The TV requires shutter glasses.
